Big Three? More like Big T — switch to T-Mobile and you could save $1,000/yr on wireless with new deal

T-Mobile deals come and go all of the time, but a completely new wireless plan? That’s a cause for celebration. The legendary mobile provider just launched a promotion called the “Family Value” plan, a new unlimited tier that provides a ton of benefits with up to $1,000 in annual savings compared to rivals Verizon and AT&T.

The Family Value plan starts at $140 per month for three lines, which shakes out to around under 50 bucks per line. In addition to unlimited talk, text, and data on T-Mobile’s unrivalled 5G network, the new data plan gives you a five year price guarantee with an unlimited hotspot and free subscriptions to Netflix and Hulu.

T-Mobile launches new Family Value plan for three lines or more

✅Recommended if: you’re looking to switch to T-Mobile and can bring at least three lines; you want a phone plan with a ton of streaming perks and other benefits.

❌Skip this deal if: you’re looking for a cheap data plan without all of the bells and whistles; you’re looking for a single-line wireless deal.

In addition to the benefits laid out above, the new Family Value plan guarantees a new phone upgrade every two years with continued access to all of T-Mobile’s new customer offers. To earn the most bang for the buck with T-Mo’s new plan, you can also take advantage of T-Satellite and grab some discounts on tablets and smartwatch lines. The plan will even get you a subscription to Apple TV for only $3 per month, in addition to free access to Hulu and Netflix.

If you want to bring your existing phone to the carrier, T-Mobile is also offering up to $800 per line to switch. In the never-ending battle of the Big Three wireless carriers, T-Mobile is clearly out for blood.

On the other hand, although it beats the competition, $140 for three lines isn’t exactly cheap. I wouldn’t recommend switching to the Family Value plan unless you plan to take advantage of all of the benefits described here. If you simply want a straightforward data plan with talk, text, and data for the family, there are plenty of MVNO carriers that could get the job done for cheap.
