The redesigned Galaxy Watch 8 is one of the best Android smartwatches that I’ve ever used, and now it’s 26% OFF at Amazon

Samsung was all about slimming down its Galaxy devices in 2025, and the Galaxy Watch 8 was no exception. This smartwatch is arguably the most stylish and sleek wearable that the Korean OEM has ever produced, but unfortunately for deal hunters, the ultra-slim design is not accompanied by an equally-slim price tag.

Lucky for us, almost a year after its initial release, Amazon is attempting to remedy this by slashing 26% off the 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 8, knocking the price down to just $259.99. That’s a rare discount on one of our favorite Android smartwatches, no strings attached and no Prime membership required.

✅Recommended if: you want a sleek, discreet smartwatch that doesn’t skimp on the latest software features; you’re already immersed in the Samsung device ecosystem; you want a wearable with a bright display and Gemini integration.

❌Skip this deal if: you prefer more rugged, bulkier smartwatches; battery life is your #1 priority; you only need simple fitness tracking capabilities and want to skip all of the extra bells and whistles.

The Galaxy Watch 8 turned a lot of heads when its new design was revealed last summer, but switch it on and you’ll quickly discover that the wearable offers the same great experience that has made Samsung watches so iconic in recent years.

Straight out of the box, you’ll get a vibrant 3,000-nit display with an ultra-thin and lightweight design that belies its IP68 protection and military-grade durability rating. Things are just as impressive under the hood, as the Galaxy Watch 8 is powered by the Exynos W1000 processor with 2GB of RAM for snappy performance.

The watch also comes with a comprehensive suite of reliable health and fitness tracking features, plus Wear OS 6 and AI integration from Gemini. You even get guaranteed software upgrades through 2029.

Of course, no device is perfect, and the 40 hours of estimated battery life seems a bit disappointing considering the other great specs on display here. Some folks may also find the redesign of the Galaxy Watch 8 a bit displeasing to the eye, while others may prefer the more rugged look offered by the more-expensive Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).

That being said, if you want a sleek, stylish wearable under 300 bucks that doesn’t sacrifice premium software features, this Galaxy Watch 8 deal is a unique opportunity. Give it a try, you can thank me later.
