Sony begins by showing off a partial illumination of the earbuds’ form factor before showing the device in its charging case. From this, it looks like we can expect the buds to remain standing in their case, like the WF-1000XM5.
However, the main course in this rumor is the final scene of this teaser, which confirms the “next generation of earbuds. Coming soon.”

There was a time when you’d look at Sony and think of it as a predominant member of the audio tech game. In a way, that’s still true, as the WF-1000XM5 did a lot right when Sony launched it three years ago. As my fellow news writer Jay Bonggolto said, I need to see the “wow feature.” It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a WF entry from Sony, and I’m hoping there’s something more it’s holding onto. If that impressive beat drop at the beginning of the teaser is any indication, perhaps we’re in for fully immersive sound that jumbles my brain.
