Perplexity bringing its AI ‘Comet’ browser to iPhone next month

Last summer, Perplexity launched one of the first AI-focused web browsers with Comet on the Mac. Soon, the long promised iOS counterpart to Comet will follow.

Perplexity has listed Comet for iPhone in the App Store with a pre-order page. The iPhone version of Perplexity’s AI browser is set to go live on March 11.

The listing includes a preview of how Comet for iPhone will look:

Like Comet for Mac, the upcoming AI browser for iPhone will primarily focus on Perplexity-powered search and chat:

Pre-order now: Comet is an Al-powered browser that acts as a personal assistant and thinking partner. Boost your focus, streamline your workflow, and turn curiosity into momentum.

Unified Al search, instant context, and automation across every site. Summarize, shop, schedule, and research-directly in the browser.

Enjoy the web and let the Al assistant handle your chores

Do everything on your to-do list faster with Comet

Comet adapts to how you think and work, learning your habits to keep you organized. Never lose track of tabs or inspiration.

Based on the App Store listing, there doesn’t appear to be an iPad version of Comet ready for release in March. For now, Comet is available for Mac, Windows, and Android. Users can “pre-order” the Comet iPhone app now to have it automatically download when it becomes available on March 11.
