What kind of headphones can you get for under $100? We’ve normalized spending hundreds on over-ear headphones, but CMF and Nothing make you think twice if paying that much on a new pair of cans is worth it. I tested the CMF Headphone Pro, a pair of over-ear ANC headphones that cost just $99 at full price. Despite coming from much more expensive headphones, I switched to the CMF Headphone Pro without a hitch.
They’re arguably the best headphones you can get for under $100. During the final minutes of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, you can save another $32 on the already-affordable headphones. That brings the cost of a pair of CMF Headphone Pro headphones to just $67, and you’ll be surprised at how much you get for that price.
✅ Recommended if: you want cheap ANC headphones with solid build quality; you value battery life above almost everything else; you need hi-res LDAC support and a multi-band EQ.
❌ Skip this deal if: you want the best sound quality; you need better transparency mode performance.
The design of the CMF Headphone Pro might look funky, but they’re incredibly light and flexibly. They’ll fit on any head shape with comfortable, and modular, ear cushions. On-headphone controls are stellar, with two buttons, a slider, and a roller. The headphones support an equalizer, but in a rare move, you can adjust EQ strength directly on the CMF Headphone Pro using the onboard slider.
These headphones also offer a USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity. Sound quality is handled by 40mm drivers equipped with nickel-plated diaphragms. On the technical side, there is a 16.5 mm copper voice coil, precision bass duct, and dual-chamber design inside the CMF Headphone Pro to ensure audio sounds rich and crisp.
If you need hi-res audio, the CMF Headphone Pro uses the optional LDAC codec at up to 990kbps over Bluetooth. Battery life lasts up to 100 hours with ANC on, and half that with ANC off.
I’m an audiophile, so I see the value in paying for more expensive options like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 headphones. However, if you just need the basics, you won’t find more for less than the CMF Headphone Pro.
