Apple releases first iOS 26.2 beta for iPhone

Apple has released the first iOS 26.2 beta for developer beta testers. The new developer beta comes one day after Apple officially released iOS 26.1 for everyone.

iOS 26.1 includes a variety of changes including a Liquid Glass appearance preference and expanded language support for Apple Intelligence and AirPods Live Translation.

Looking ahead, we’ll have to update our devices and explore iOS 26.2 to discover what’s new.

One change we’re aware of already is an adjustment to how Apple handles its new Sleep Score feature in iOS 26.2 and watchOS 26.2. Apple is adjusting the scoring range and classifications based on user feedback, we’re told.

Beyond that, we’ll update you as soon as we find any other changes.

iOS 26.2 is available as a developer beta now, and a public beta version will likely soon follow. The final release should be ready before the end of the year.
