According to Apple leaker Majin Bu, Apple will once again be repositioning the Apple logo on the next iPhone. Apple last repositioned the Apple logo with the iPhone 11 lineup, and it’s remained centered on the iPhone ever since. Six years later, that may be changing once again – if this rumor holds up.
Majin Bu has a spotty track record with Apple rumors, though they have shared a number of accurate tidbits in the past, including the ‘Desert Titanium’ marketing name for the new iPhone 16 Pro color well in advance. For this reason, it’s worth covering – even though the rumor doesn’t make the most sense.
With the iPhone 17 Pro, apparently, Apple might reposition the Apple logo to be centered below the new rear camera bar – rather than being truly centered in the middle of the phone. The leaker claims that this is for better recognizability, and that case companies are already testing around this new Apple logo placement.
Bizarrely, in his blog post, Majin Bu also adds that case companies are changing the design of the MagSafe ring to allow this new Apple logo to show. He shared this image to provide an idea of what that would look like:

Frankly, I’m not sure whether or not I believe this. It could make sense with the entire top of the phone now being a single camera bar, but at the same time it’s incredibly odd.
That said, the centered logo placement of iPhone 11 also leaked through case manufacturers having to design around it, so there’s a bit of precedent to the leak. If it is true, I’m sure we’ll find out in due time.
What do you think of this potential new logo placement on iPhone 17 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
