Our favorite Amazfit smartwatch under $100 just got even cheaper at Amazon

Smartwatch deals aren’t a bad way to get into the devices if you’re new to the game. One such deal includes Amazon offering the Amazfit Active 2 for $20 off, bringing its price down to just $80.

To be sure, the Active 2 is our favorite Amazfit smartwatch for under $100, and it also boasts a bright AMOLED display with 2,000 nits of brightness, over 160 sport modes, and some of the latest tech in the heart rate, skin temperature, and altimeter areas. It also includes GPS capabilities and up to 10 hours of battery life when not using the full range of features.

✅Recommended if: you’re looking for a basic fitness smartwatch for $80 or so; you want a watch with a fairly bright AMOLED display that you can still see in brighter environments; you’re looking for a watch with HR monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen, and other common sensors and features; you like having a smartwatch with a sporty style over something that looks more like a traditional watch.

❌Skip this deal if: you need a smartwatch that also includes dual-band GPS; you’ll need a watch with more than 10 days of battery life for backpacking journeys and other serious outdoor excursions; you prefer a smaller smartwatch with more of a fitness band style, and you’d rather consider some of the less hefty options out there.

The Active 2 is the best Amazfit smartwatch under $100, especially because it offers everything from heart rate and sleep monitoring to basic GPS and fitness and sport modes. It also offers up to 10 days of battery life or up to five days with heavy use, along with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display and easy compatibility with other devices.

Perhaps the watch’s biggest downsides are its lack of dual-band GPS, and its lack of a crown, which some may prefer. However, it’s a pretty solid pick amongst competitors at this discounted price point, especially for those who are just getting into smartwatches or who don’t need some of the more advanced features found on premium options.
