This is not a test: T-Mobile will already give you the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro for FREE with new deal

Cheap smartphones aren’t exactly uncommon any more, but the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro isn’t your run-of-the-mill budget device. This innovative phone sports a matte, paper-like display that actively adapts to light and reduces glare to be easier on the eyes, making it the perfect companion for folks who are sensitive to low pulse-width modulation (PWM) rates.

Previously, I would’ve guessed that a phone with an e-paper display would’ve cost an arm and a leg, but TCL unveiled the NXTPAPER 70 Pro on April 8th with an approachable $199 price tag. The best part? If you order the phone and add a line with “most plans” at T-Mobile, the carrier will give you the eye-friendly smartphone for 100% free. No kidding.

New T-Mobile deal makes the eye-friendly TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro free for a limited time

We spend a large chunk of our days staring at the bright screens of our smartphones, so it’s no wonder that many folks are trying to save their vision with a softer, more eye-friendly device. And if you already own an e-reader or e-ink tablet — or you’re familiar with phones for PWM-sensitive people — you know exactly what to expect from the NXTPAPER 70 Pro.

According to TCL, the phone features the “most advanced” version of its proprietary display technology, with innovative software that automatically adapts and optimizes images while using the device. You even get the choice of multiple “ink” modes to ensure you’re getting the visual experience that you want.

The cheap Android phone doesn’t just provide an eye-friendly display, however. The 6.9-inch panel also boasts FHD Plus picture and a 120Hz refresh rate, while under the hood you get Android 16 and the efficient MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The NXTPAPER 70 Pro also comes with 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and a 5,200mAh battery that should easily last a full day on a single charge.

T-Mobile states that adding a line with “most plans” will get you the free TCL phone. That includes the carrier’s budget-friendly Better Value and Essentials plans, in addition to the premium Experience offerings. Both new and existing customers are eligible for the T-Mobile deal, although since terms can vary depending on the plan, it’s worth checking out the fine print before you commit.

Needless to say, if you want an innovative smartphone that won’t break the bank, this TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro deal from T-Mobile is a great way to preserve your eyes and your budget all at once. It’s as simple as that.
