This smartwatch completely crushed Samsung and Apple in battery life tests — and it just scored a rare discount at Amazon

The Amazon Big Spring Sale is set to kick off on March 25th, but you don’t need to wait to score an incredible smartwatch deal. The OnePlus Watch 3, our favorite Android watch for battery life, just scored a rare $50 discount ahead of the sale, knocking the price down to $249.99.

Price drops on the OnePlus Watch 3 are exceedingly rare, so if you’ve been waiting for the right time to grab a battery life beast that doesn’t skimp on innovative smartwatch features, now’s your chance.

The OnePlus Watch 3 comes with many of the features you’d expect in a great Android smartwatch, such as comprehensive health tracking (including HRM, SpO2, and skin temp) and 32GB of onboard storage, but battery life is really where it shines.

Straight out of the box, the OnePlus Watch 3 generally lasts around 4-6 days on a single charge, but you can boost that duration up to 16 days when you activate Power Saver mode. Of course, that setting strips the watch down to its most basic features, but it’s nice peace of mind if you’re ever in a bind.

Even when the watch is in its default smart mode, the 120-hour estimate totally clobbers the average battery life offered by the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series, for example. The OnePlus Watch 3 also comes with a few premium features you may not expect in a sub-$300 wearable, such as a rotating titanium crown, excellent haptics, and a super-vibrant AMOLED display with 2,200 nits of brightness.

Drawbacks with the OnePlus Watch 3 include limited OS updates (you’re only guaranteed support through Wear OS 7) and the fact that the North American model doesn’t measure ECG. That said, there’s a reason we gave the OnePlus Watch 3 4.5 out of 5 stars, and if you’re interested in giving this watch a try, the current Amazon discount presents an excellent opportunity to do so.
